how long has it been...?
WELL WELL...SURPRISED?
yeah i know its been like ages since i last touched this blog...been having so many commitments piling up tt i dunno where to start...*blows dust off blog*
where to start indeed...
med sch? i'm in year 4 now...1 more year till i get thrown to the wolves as a houseman XD
but all that aside, there's an even more urgent terror brewing...PATHOLOGY EXAMS!!!
i hear its the hardest written paper in all 5 years of med sch...even my senior batch had so many ppl failing the 1st round...crap i better not end up like tt...dun wanna take the re-test (which is said to be even harder, wtf?)
so...aside from exiling myself to the library to mug 5 days a week...i gotta plan for electives too...
basically, electives = we can do whatever posting we want, as long as its approved by the dean's office...
which sounds great, only the deadline was like...last friday?? and our elective period spans from feb to may...which doctor would know if they're on leave or not FOUR WHOLE MONTHS in advance? the admin ppl jus dun have any common sense nowadays...knn...
so now i'm stuck with 2 more postings hanging over my head cos the doctors cant get back to me on time...and the damn dean's office has so much red tape to go thru simply cos i missed the deadline...>:(
scouts: jus saw a new batch of scouts move up to ventures (sec4s), and a new batch of sec3s step up to take over the troop...hope this year will be fruitful...kinda forgot how messy the new year can be, with so many things to prepare...especially when new sec1s are coming in soon...argh...
wat's worse...1 of my fellow leaders is gonna be away on an overseas attachment for the first half of the year...i'm jus counting myself lucky my 5th year doesnt start till june...or we'll be sorely shorthanded...
dammit...how did we survive without adult leaders in the past?
another concern is the lion dance troop...been supervising their chinese new year performance for the past few weeks...got alot of rough edges, but i think we'll make it in time...the new instructor has arrived, but he wont be taking over officially until after chinese new year...so we're pretty much on autopilot...
and while i'm on the topic of scouts...jus wanna say to 1 particular venture: dont give up, no matter how hard life can be sometimes...it may be painful to walk your path, but thats wat your friends are for, yeah? the hurt can last for a long time, but as long as u persevere, your success will last forever...
my novel: couldnt make the deadline i set for myself to publish the 1st book...been too busy to finish the edits =(
damn disappointing, especially when i told my friends how i'd be publishing by christmas 2007...
but delaying a book jus to make sure its good is worth it...my editor's been over lots of stuff with me...and its finally beginning to look professional ^^

karate: i'm a brown belt now (yay!)...gonna take my next grading around the same time as my pathology exam (dammit)...
been training alot for this...we've jus got a new syllabus, and my sensei has high hopes for me...(normally, a brown belt has to wait 4-6 months to take the next grading, but i've been pushed up so my interval is only 2-3 months)
crap...hope i dont screw up...my sparring skills are all rusty since i've been focusing so much on the other components...
